The most common complaint from first-time takers in a large substantive review course is the lack of quality feedback on their practice essays. Many first-timers are dissatisfied with the minimal direction they receive from their prep course, and fearful that the limited instruction will inhibit their ability to improve their performance in seven weeks time.

Often, students receive practice essays with just a score or with nebulous comments that are not instructive. Moreover, the majority of their essays are returned 2-3 weeks after they were written.
